WHERE ARE WE

The Outer Fields @ Western Springs is situated on Great North Road between the Bullock Track and Stadium Road, in Auckland.

TICKETS & ACCESS & AGE RESTRICTIONS

General on-sale tickets can be purchased in advance from Ticketmaster or over the phone on 0800 111 999.

The Outer Fields @ Western Springs is a general access (GA), unrestricted venue unless otherwise stated (eg VIP or Golden Circle tickets). There are no seats or otherwise reserved areas so first in, first served.

Entry is via Stadium Road off Great North Road. For accessibility entry, see further information below.

Age restrictions vary by show. For example in our 2025-26 season, Rufus Du Sol is an R18 event. See each Event page for details.

Every patron must have a valid ticket, regardless of age. 

GETTING THERE, PARKING AND ACCESS

There’s no general on-site parking. Parking nearby is very limited and additional temporary parking restrictions may apply on event days. For accessibility parking, see further info below.

The venue is walking distance of nearby central city neighbourhoods (Ponsonby, Grey Lynn, Westmere, Morningside, Western Springs).

Public Transport: We recommend using Auckland Transport’s (AT) Journey Planner for bus connections along Great North Road or train connections via Morningside Station.

The Outer Fields @ Western Springs is also within an easy rideshare/taxi distance from Auckland City. There are dedicated P5 drop-off/pick-up locations nearby on event days.

Bullock Track will be closed on event days (except to residents). Other road closures around the venue may also apply depending on the show. Visit at.govt.nz for more info. 

FOOD AND BEVERAGES

The Outer Fields @ Western Springs is a licensed venue. If you wish to purchase alcohol, please bring a valid ID (Passport, NZ Driver Licence or HANZ 18+ card).

A range of food trucks will be on site, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options, plus coffee and hot drink outlets.

Free water stations are provided. For most shows, you are permitted to bring in a sealed bottle of water up to 750ml or an empty plastic bottle to refill at water stations.

You may NOT bring any commercial food, takeaways, or other beverages into The Outer Fields @ Western Springs.

ACCESSIBILITY

Limited accessible parking spaces are available for vehicles displaying a valid mobility pass. These must be pre-booked using our Accessibility Request Form. Information packs are sent the week of the event.

A dedicated drop-off point for vehicles displaying a valid mobility pass (Great North Road / Stadium Road corner).

Inside the venue, there’s an accessible viewing platform for patrons with accessibility needs plus one companion each. Space on the platform is limited and operates on a first come, first served basis. We recommend arriving early to avoid disappointment. Whilst we try to have sufficient space for everyone, demand may vary and at times there may be a wait.

Accessible toilet facilities are located alongside the platform and within the main toilet blocks.

Service animals are welcome! Please complete the Accessibility Request Form in advance to let us know if you are bringing your service animal so we can help you get the most out of your concert experience.

For all other special access requirements, (medication, dietary needs, mobility equipment), please complete the Accessibility Request Form.

WEATHER

These concerts are outdoor events that go ahead rain or shine. Accepting this is a condition of ticket purchase so please come prepared.

We recommend bringing options for all weather scenarios - sunscreen and a hat for sun, or a rain-jacket/poncho if rain is forecast.

In exceptional cases the venue operator/promoter may postpone the event to an alternative date at their sole discretion. Tickets will remain valid for the alternative date or a refund may be requested (excluding booking fees) EXCEPT for a public health postponement (see COVID & Public Health below for information on pandemic-related postponements).

This website will publish any changes and up to date information in this unlikely event.

WHAT NOT TO BRING

To keep everyone safe, the following items are prohibited. Items deemed dangerous or nuisance-creating will be confiscated and not returned. We take no responsibility for goods surrendered:

No Bags larger than A3 (400mm x 300mm x 300mm)
No Banners/signs larger than A4
No iPads/tablets
No commercial branded food including takeaways. Small amounts of home prepared food is allowed - See “What can I bring” below
No alcohol or illicit drugs
No glass, cans, aluminium, cutlery
No knives, tasers, mace, chains, spurs, studded jewellery
No offensive weapons, including, but not limited to, any object that may be used as a projectile such as glow sticks, balls, containers etc
No professional cameras (devices with detachable lens and/or lens larger than a standard watch face), video cameras and recording devices (this does not include mobile phones)
No recording devices
No tents or gazebos
No dogs or other animals, other than guide dogs
No furniture, chairs or stools
No chilly bins/coolers
No airhorns or loud hailers
No dangerous goods
No selfie sticks, wands, go-pros, drones
No gang patches or gang paraphernalia to be displayed
No skateboards, roller blades, bicycles or scooters
No unauthorized promotional, marketing or advertising
No fireworks, flares or laser lights, flashlights
No items that in the opinion of management/security could cause harm or nuisance to other patrons

If in any doubt, please leave it at home.

WHAT CAN I BRING

EFTPOS

There are no ATM machines on site at the Outer Fields @ Western Springs venue.  EFTPOS facilities and paywave are available on site for most purchases.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

The Outer Fields @ Western Springs is a single-use-cup-free venue. We’ve partnered with TURN to provide reusable cups for all beverage service at each show.

When you purchase your first drink, a one-off $2 cup fee will be added. Each time you buy another drink, simply return your used cup and you’ll receive your new beverage in a clean one at no extra cost. All returned cups are washed, dried, and reused for future events.

At the end of the night, please return your cup to one of the clearly marked TURN return buckets located around the venue. Partnering with TURN helps us reduce waste and keep The Outer Fields a more sustainable, environmentally friendly venue.

COVID AND PUBLIC HEALTH UPDATES

In the unlikely event that public health regulations (such as COVID-19 restrictions) impact show dates, updates will be shared here.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Dress code
For safety reasons, footwear is to be worn at all times.

Search Policy
Bags, clothing, and other carried items may be searched before entering the venue.

Vehicles entering the venue may also be subject to search.

Alcohol and Drugs

Supplying alcohol to underage patrons is strictly prohibited and will result in eviction.

Entry will be refused to anyone intoxicated or under the influence of illicit substances.

We comply with Liquor Licensing regulations and will not serve alcohol to intoxicated or underage persons.

Intoxicated or underage persons found with alcohol will be escorted from the venue.

The Outer Fields @ Western Springs has a strict no-drugs policy. Illicit drugs are prohibited and will be confiscated. Anyone found with drugs will be escorted from the venue and may be referred to Police.

Lost, stolen or damaged property

The Outer Fields @ Western Springs takes no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal property in or around the event site. Items of value recovered after an event will be taken to Auckland Central Police Station.

Behaviour

We want everyone to have an enjoyable and safe experience.

In extreme cases, a person who exhibits unacceptable or disruptive behaviour will be asked to leave the venue.

There is zero tolerance for intoxication. Those who arrive intoxicated will be refused entry, and anyone who becomes intoxicated will be removed.

Dangerous behaviour such as aggressive moshing, stage diving, crowd surfing, or climbing is not permitted.

Failure to comply with venue staff, security, or Police directions to leave may result in prosecution for trespass under the Trespass Act 1980 which is punishable on conviction by a fine not exceeding $1000 or a term of imprisonment not exceeding three months.

Smoking

The Outer Fields @ Western Springs is a smoke free venue. This includes the use of e-cigarettes and vapes.
