WHERE ARE WE

The Outer Fields @ Western Springs is situated on Great North Road between the Bullock Track and Stadium Road, in Auckland.

TICKETS & ACCESS & AGE RESTRICTIONS

General on-sale tickets can be purchased in advance from Ticketmaster or over the phone on 0800 111 999. The Outer Fields @ Western Springs is a general access (GA), unrestricted venue. There are no seats. There are no reserved areas. First come, first served.The venue entrance is situated at the corner of Great North Road and Bullock Track (except accessibility access, see “Mobility Access” FAQ below). The show is all ages, general admission, with NO age restrictions. Every patron must have a valid ticket, no matter your age. 

GETTING THERE, PARKING AND ACCESS

Subject to “Mobility Access” FAQ below, there is no on-site parking. The venue is within easy walking distance of central city neighbourhoods Ponsonby, Grey Lynn, Westmere, Morningside and Western Springs, and bus/taxi/rideshare distance from Auckland City Centre. There are permanent parking restrictions preventing parking in the immediate vicinity of the venue, and there is very limited street parking in the wider area.We recommend central city bus links that drop near the venue on Great North Road, the Morningside Train Station, or taxis/ride sharing services.

The Bullock Track will be closed show days, other than to permanent residents who live on the Track.

FOOD AND BEVERAGES

The Outer Fields @ Western Springs venue is licensed. There are a number of food trucks on site, including vegetarian and vegan options. Free water stations are provided. There are coffee/hot drink outlets on site. You may NOT bring any commercial food or takeaways, or any beverages into The Outer Fields @ Western Springs. You may bring sealed water bottles or empty unsealed water bottles into The Outer Fields @ Western Springs.

Please bring identification if you wish to purchase alcohol. Accepted forms of ID are Passport, NZ Driver’s License or HANZ 18+ card. If we are unsure of your age and you do not have ID, you will not be able to purchase alcohol.

MOBILITY ACCESS

There are a limited number of accessibility car park spaces – Entrance off Stadium Road. These need to be pre booked by contacting info@crsmanagement.co.nz.

There is no street parking in the immediate vicinity of the venue. All vehicles need to display a mobility pass.

There is a dedicated accessibility drop point for cars displaying a valid mobility pass for patrons with access needs on the Great North Road and Stadium Road corner.

There is a limited capacity accessible viewing platform situated immediately inside the venue, which is accessible by accessibility patrons plus one companion each.

Accessible toilet facilities are immediately alongside the platform. There are also accessible toilet facilities in the two main toilet compounds.

Guide dogs are welcome at all events. It would be great if you could get in touch with us before the event to let us know if you are bringing your guide dog so we can make sure you get the best out of your concert experience. Please include your contact email address.

RAIN/ADVERSE WEATHER

These are outdoor concerts. The shows will proceed, rain or shine. Accepting this is a condition of buying a ticket. So come prepared. Be sun smart. Bring rain protection. The venue operator has the sole and absolute discretion to postpone any show, in exceptional circumstances, to an alternative date. In that event existing tickets will be valid for the alternative date or they can be returned to point of purchase for a refund (excluding booking fees), prior to the alternative date, EXCEPT for a COVID postponement, see “COVID FAQ” below.

This website will provide up to date information in this unlikely event.

WHAT SHOULDN'T I BRING

Bags larger than A3 (400mm x 300mm x 300mm)
Banners or any signs larger than A4
iPads or tablets
No commercial branded food (home prepared food is allowed per “What can I bring” below) including takeaways.  
No beverages, including alcohol (water is allowed, but only as provided for in “What can I bring” below), or illicit drugs.
No glass, cans, aluminium, cutlery.
No knives, tasers, mace, chains, spurs, studded jewellery.
No offensive weapons, including, but not limited to, any object that may be used as a projectile such as glow sticks, balls, containers etc.
No professional cameras (devices with detachable lens and/or lens larger than a standard watch face), video cameras and recording devices (this does not include mobile phones).
No recording devices.
No tents or gazebos.
No dogs or other animals, other than guide dogs.
No furniture, chairs or stools.
No chilly bins/coolers.
No airhorns or loud hailers.
No dangerous goods.
No selfie sticks, wands, go-pros, drones.
No gang patches or gang paraphernalia to be displayed.
No skateboards, roller blades, bicycles or scooters.
Unauthorized promotional, marketing or advertising.
No fireworks, flares or laser lights, flashlights.
No items that in the opinion of management/security could cause harm or nuisance to other patrons. If in any doubt, please leave it at home.

We take no responsibility for goods surrendered. Prohibited items will be confiscated and not returned.  

WHAT CAN I BRING

Empty plastic bottle (up to 750ml) to use at the free water stations.

Sealed water bottle (up to 750ml)

Home prepared food (NO commercial branded food, including takeaways).

Prams and strollers.

EFTPOS

There are no ATM machines on site at the Outer Fields @ Western Springs venue. But EFTPOS facilities and paywave are available on site for most purchases.

TURN & SUSTAINABILITY

The Outer Fields @ Western Springs venue does not allow single-use/disposable cups. We have a partnership with TURN who provide the venue with reusable cups for all beverage service at each show.

It works likes this
When you purchase your first beverage(s), you will pay an additional one time $2 for each cup. When you purchase each subsequent drink, and return the used cup each time, you will be served your new drink in a fresh cup at no extra cost. The used cup will be washed/dried by us and returned to circulation. At the end of your evening, you return your cup(s) to the TURN return buckets situated around site and go in with a chance to win concert ticket prizes.

Partnering with TURN allows us all to reuse recyclables and not waste single serve disposables.

COVID

If covid regulations necessitate any change to show dates, we will advise here.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Dress code: For safety reasons, footwear is to be worn at all times.
We reserve the right to request patrons to present any clothing, bags and other carried items for searching before you enter the venue.

We reserve the right to search vehicles entering the venue.

Persons supplying alcohol to under age patrons will be evicted from the premises.

Entry will be refused if a patron is intoxicated or under the influence of illicit substances. We comply with the Liquor Licensing Authority and prohibit the serving of alcohol to intoxicated or under-aged persons.

Intoxicated or under-aged persons who are apprehended with alcohol will be escorted from the venue. We maintain a strict ‘no drugs’ policy, illicit drugs are prohibited and will be confiscated at the gate. Any persons apprehended with drugs in their possession will be escorted from the venue.

Incidents involving alcohol or drugs will be referred to the police where the situation requires it.

Lost stolen or damaged property

We take no responsibility for any damage to, loss or theft of a patron’s personal property while in or near the venue. Items of value recovered after an event will be taken to the Auckland Central Police Station.

Behaviour

In order to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone, we reserve the right to deny entry or remove attendees who exhibit unacceptable or disruptive behaviour. There will be zero tolerance for intoxication. Those who arrive at the gates intoxicated will be refused entry and patrons who become intoxicated will be removed from the venue. Intoxicated or under age persons who are apprehended with alcohol will be escorted from the venue.

In extreme cases, a person who exhibits unacceptable or disruptive behaviour will be asked to leave the venue. Dangerous activities such as aggressive moshing, stage diving, crowd surfing and climbing are not permitted and may result in the removal of patrons from the event. Failure to comply with a direction from venue staff, security staff or the New Zealand Police to leave the venue after having been warned to leave may render the ticket holder liable to arrest and prosecution for the offence trespass under section four of the Trespass Act 1980 which is punishable on conviction by a fine not exceeding $1000 or a term of imprisonment not exceeding three months.

Smoking

The Outer Fields at Western Springs is a SMOKE FREE venue. This includes the use of e-cigarettes and vaporisers.
